Welcome
BCT Support brings together a number of specialist services available to local authorities that work with families at different points in their lives. These services focus on supporting parents, strengthening relationships and creating safe, sustainable plans, that help children live happy and healthy lives.
Here you can find clear information about what each service offers.
Services
Breathe Trust Connect
Breathe Trust Connect offers emotional and therapeutic support to people who have had a child adopted, or whose child has been placed with, or matched to adopters.
This support is designed to help people process loss, understand their experiences, feel listened to and supported, without judgement and at their own pace.
Family Group Connections
Family Group Connections brings families and the people who care about a child together to make a safe, supportive plan for the child’s future.
With the support of an independent facilitator, families have time to talk things through, share ideas and agree what will help keep a child safe and supported, with everyone given the chance to be heard.
New Growth
New Growth supports young people aged 16 to 30 who are expecting a baby and have experience of care.
It offers emotional and practical support during pregnancy and early parenthood, helping parents feel more confident, better supported and less alone during an important and often challenging time.
Practice Educator Programme
The Practice Educator Development Programme supports social workers to become confident, accredited practice educators, equipping them to teach, assess and support learners in practice in line with national standards.
